The Office of Knowledge Transfer (OKT) manages intellectual properties arising from HKUST research works; supports faculty and students in their endeavors to pursue university-industry collaboration, entrepreneurship, and technology commercialization. OKT now invites candidates who are interested in Innovation and Technology, Entrepreneurship, and Business Development to work at the office.

Job Duties:
- Assist the Electronic, AI, Systems (EAS) group in executing Knowledge Transfer (KT) initiatives.
- Provide comprehensive support for the RAISe+ program and its associated projects.
- Develop and utilize AI tools to streamline team operations, expedite material preparation, and enhance overall KT activities.
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to EAS and RAISe+ team members.
- Assist in industry landscape data analysis and evaluation, including market sizing and competitor research.
- Prepare background research for collaboration activities with industry partners and universities, including exhibitions and events.
- Organize startup profiles and conduct background research on their business and industry sectors.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Essential Requirements:
- AI Capability: Demonstrated proficiency and hands-on experience in using AI tools for productivity and operational efficiency.
- Presentation Skills: Excellent presentation preparation capabilities with strong delivery and communication skills.
- Tech-Enthusiast: Deeply interested in AI, Robotics, and emerging technology trends.
Eligibility:
- Year 2 to 4 undergraduates preferred
- Any majors in Business / Engineering (Year 1 students from SBM and SENG are also welcome), or majors in Information Systems / Operations Management.
- Track record in AI skills and application development.
- Proficient in written and spoken communication skills in both English and Chinese.
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word processing.
- Can-do spirit, active mind, and a strong sense of responsibility.

What you'll do
- Marketing & Storytelling: plan, shoot, and edit interviews and promo videos that turn complex tech into compelling stories
- Social Media & Branding: run content planning and execution across platforms like WeChat Official Account to put great projects in front of the world
- Project Interview Support: assist with screening, scheduling, and coordinating startup teams — and watch standout projects emerge
- Document Processing & Review: collect, organize, and verify application materials for funding schemes (TSSSU, BGF, and more) with precision
- Admin & Operations: maintain application records and filing systems, help prepare reports, and keep incubation workflows running smoothly
- Event Coverage & On-site Content: capture live moments and produce digital content at events
Who we're looking for
- Current full-time HKUST student — all disciplines welcome
- Experience or strong interest in social media marketing, video production, editing, or multimedia
- Familiarity with social media platforms (e.g., WeChat Official Account) and basic marketing principles
- Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in document handling; able to work both independently and in a team
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese
- Available ~8–10 hours per week during term time

Focusing on Bio-Tech Sector:
• Assist in Intellectual Properties Management
• Assist in Biotechnology Management
• Assist in Customer Approaching
• Assist in Industry Research and Competitor Analysis
• Assist in Pitching Deck Preparation
• Ad-hoc Duties as Assigned
Requirements:
• Major in LIFS, with marketing/business sense
• Or Major in Business with Biology Knowledge
• Proficient in written and spoken communication skills in both English and Chinese
• Active in mind and responsible for work
• Available part-time from September to December 2026
• Year two to Year three undergraduate
